@Ourobotos i don’t know anything about the government’s actual policy, but green taxes are supposed to force people to pay the true cost of what they are doing, prices dictated in the private market rarely reflect the marginal social cost of consumption.
Your comment actually made me smile, I’m currently doing a degree in economics, and i recently read that ‘politically, taxes are not enough, however they can have a significant effect.’ i didn’t understand at the time, now i do.
@Neylonx Governments use it as an excuse to impose “green taxes”. Even if climate change is man made, this wouldn’t make a significant difference but it’s just about generating revenue.

I protested at the CRU at the UEA two years ago over the climategate emails, they’ve just done it again, some names linked to UEA, Agenda21 and common purpose promoting this fraud via the media’s, Richard Bearman (NEAD & Agenda21 director) Martin Scott(media lecturer UEA) Brandon Gough (UEA Chancellor) Richard Jewson (lord LT norfolk with fingers in many many pies) the last two have ties to Penn State USA. Jewson is involved greatly in childrens work!
@GWR4079 That may well be so, but our additions to it all must have a negative effect to the balance. Alot of these scientists are not to be trusted, most are in the pay of the major corporations who are the biggest polluters on earth.
@SouthernCross33 think of volcanoes mt st helens have given off more co2 10x than the humans have ever given off in existance
No evidence CO2 — warming? Dear English Lord, here it is. Be serious.

Well spoken, someone should send this to Julia Gillard.
MY RESPECTS TO THIS MAN OPENING THE EYES OF THE WORLD WITH HARD COLD FACTS AND HISTORY, CLIMATE CHANGE DEBATE IS NOTHING BUT A POOR EXCUSE TO TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY , MY RESPECTS FROM THE U.S.
also, to everyone saying climate change is a hoax to rip people off for money, how are they doing this?
Most actions combating it involve REDUCING consumption. They also involve recycling, and reducing our dependence on fuels supplied by unstable nations that will eventually run out anyway.
Even if you don’t think man made climate change is real, I don’t see how you can argue against the measures governements impose against it.
@KingOfBanks what? Just because through general knowledge i know what he’s talking about, and the vital information he is missing out on purpose, doesn’t make me biased.
I stopped listening after a couple of minutes because I got tired of how misleading he was, but everything he said until then was pretty much true, he just missed out their context and other additional information which would have made his arguments irrelevant.
@Neylonx You must be the world renowned PROFESSOR Neylonx? I think you watched this with an angry mind. Why listen to someone who has spent a lifetime doing his homework when the TV presenter is so convincing?
@andyz0007 I comprehend that, but thats not what some posters here are on about, thats who i was directing my comment. Just look at someone paraphrasing me a few comments down for an example
0:17 Only time it’s been faster is when a fresh water lake half the size of north america burst it’s banks and flooded into the sea. Otherwise it’s always been A LOT slower
0:34 1500m sea level changes? he’s confusing plate tectonics with sea levels.
0:43 Yes, air was mostly CO2, there also wasn’t even multi-celled life then.
1:36 complete exaggeration, also nobody’s saying it’s a pollutant, it’s a greenhouse gas.
This guy is biased and misleading, anyone listening to him is an idiot.
@SouthernCross33 Just to let you in on the debate, it is not about pollution, i.e. carbon, it is about carbon dioxide, i.e. plant food. I think you would get 100% support on your statement, unfortunately that is not where the conversation is at.
@jazzey69 Not to mention the fact that when you think about it we breathe in CO2, we need it so technically they’re calling for depopulation or extermination. “There’s too many of us!”
WE need more Co2 NOT LESS !!!
Climate change is all about fleecing people of there hard earnt money.
Take care all..
“Surely we must accept that all this industrilization must have had a detrimental effect on the earth.”
Why must we? Don’t buy into the push to yield individual rights and freedoms to governments.
whops that is 26 million years ago the same types of trees we have today were growing below the basalt flows from when the sea level rose. i went foreward in time instead of backwards.
A lot of geophysic people know the same thing to be true. I live under mountains where moltant lava hit the ocean water approximately 500 ft up the cliffs in so called pillow lava just around 25 million years ago. Sea levels 500 ft higher? Yes and higher and it had nothing to do with carbon in the atmosphere and certainly not a fraction of 1 percent. These cliffs were not uplifted from 25 million years ago 24 million years ago below the lava flows the same types of trees today grew.
I have said the same thing. He is damn right about how carbon has disappeared from both the atmosphere and the water in giant limestone beds around the earth. There is not enough carbon in the atmosphere even if it doubles in volume to blacket the earth the way venus is blanketed in warming gas. The key is universal gas law. If the atmospheric pressure is not changing because of release of carbon gases or any other constituent gases then there is no gas warming
“Plimer released Heaven and Earth…Scientists from many disciplines have reviewed the book, and have accused Plimer of misrepresenting sources, misusing data, and engaging in conspiracy theories. They describe the book as unscientific, and containing numerous errors from which Plimer draws false conclusions” -Ian Plimer Wiki article
@AlanWattResistance Yes i do agree with all you said here. I realize this whole climate change bs is about fleecing us of more $ and in helping to usher in the NWO. I’m just commenting to the ppl who believe that our fossil fuel usage and disasters like Fukishima have minimal if not zero effect on the earth, this is plain madness
@SouthernCross33 Of course real pollution is damaging the environment, but the whole Climate Change alarm asserts that CO2 and mankind itself is to blame. The Club of Rome even stated in the early 90s that pollution and Global Warming was going to be used as an excuse to “unite humanity” under a one world government. Even Gorbachev said that “the threat of environmental crisis will be the ‘international disaster key’ to unlock the New World Order”. It’s not about climate it’s about social change
Oh and almost forgot, what about Fukishima and all the plutonium and uranium escaping into the atmosphere, you’d have to be backward if you think we aren’t having a detrimental effect on the earth
